Oct 21, 2013. #4. I've been asking the same question earlier this year. Decided on the 3.0d as it has a single turbo so should be easier on the maintenance front. The 3.0d has plenty of power & torque so single turbo should be fine for most folks. So far loving the 3.0d :thumbs:

My 3.0 gets about 14-16mpg in the city and up to 26mpg on the highway (it take lots of practice and patient-keeping it between 55mph and 60mph to get this number). Otherwise, it's about 22mpg on the highway doing about 80mph. Note that I'm rolling on OEM 19" wheels/tires.
